Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine
The M1938 was a carbine version of the Mosin Nagant M1891/30 produced during the 1930s and at the beginning of World War II. It was simply an M1891/30 with a very short barrel and forestock. Around 2.5 million of these rifles were manufactured from 1939 to 1945
This loss of over 8” in barrel length and 2 lbs of weight results in punishing recoil, compared to the full length rifle.
